Brown Says Presidential Candidates Not Wanted in Washington

U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH), a member of the Senate Banking Committee, just made a statement on FOXNews that the bailout was near being solved yesterday when McCain showed up. Implying he should have stayed out of it. This despite the fact that Harry Reid, democrat requested McCain's help.

He went on to say that the Presidential candidates should get on with running for President and leave the bailout to those in the committee working on it. He further stated the financial crisis was all the Republicans' fault for deregulating banking, etc. He completely ignored Bill Clinton's contribution.

It seems like a very arrogant statement to me. One of these men, McCain or Obama, will be elected President on Nov. 4th, 2008. Even if Barack Obama fails to realize this, the next President will have to live with the outcome of this bailout, perhaps more intimately than anyone else.

AmI wrong? Shouldn't both of these men be there at the table? Please leave a comment:
