Why Palin irks liberal women

The relentless criticism of Sarah Palin has more to do with her gender and conservative views than her qualifications.

Democrats are upset because John McCain didn’t get the memo that only Democrats are allowed to nominate women. Liberals are upset because McCain didn’t get the memo that only women with liberal views are worthy of representing women.

Democrats and liberals want desperately to keep Republicans in the imaginary box Democrats portray them in. For Republicans to deviate from the stereotype Democrats have conjured up about them is an outrage and must be stomped out quickly.

Democrats believe they have the exclusive right to promote the progress of women in politics. Now the Republicans have stolen the ball, and the unthinkable is now a possibility: The first woman to ascend to the White House may do so in a Republican presidency.

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama slapped his loose-lipped running mate Tuesday, chastising Joe Biden for speaking too fast and contradicting him on one of the massive financial bailouts.

Biden, a Delaware senator, declared last week the federal government should not have floated the American International Group an $85 billion lifeline.

Obama said the feds had no choice and hit John McCain for opposing the AIG rescue one day, then backing it the next.

Tuesday, Obama had to deal with fallout from Biden doing a similar dipsy-doodle, first denouncing then agreeing with McCain.

"I think that, in that situation, I think Joe should have waited as well," Obama said on NBC's "Today" show.

Still, Obama defended his pick of Biden over Hillary Clinton.

"I am a great admirer of Sen. Clinton's," Obama said on NBC. "Joe Biden is also an outstanding public servant, and I am very proud of the choice that I made."

The GOP reveled in Biden's bobbles, sending out a list of recent alleged missteps.

"Joe Biden's bizarre comments underscore the lack of decisiveness and leadership represented at the top of the ticket," said Republican National Committee spokesman Danny Diaz, contending that Obama's "lack of experience and accomplishment is reflected in the confused comments by his running mate."

Tennessee Democratic Congressman’s Son Hacked Sarah Palin’s Email–UPDATED AGAIN: Connection with Obama’s Campaign Manager?

Confederate Yankee extends mercy to the kid with a depressive disorder who hacked Sarah Palin’s Yahoo account. That is overly kind. Were this miscreant a Republican, he’d be tarred and feathered and we’d be hearing about how it’s no wonder a Republican had problems with depression, but put him in jail with the same law used to oppress minorities and the disabled.

No. Throw the book at this rotten Democratic apple. It matters not that he’s unstable. That’s pretty much a given when you go hacking into a government official’s private email. His father is in the government, surely he knows it’s a no-no to monkey around in a government official’s email. He had enough sense to pick out emails he perceived as most damaging to Sarah Palin, his frontal lobe is obviously functioning fine. It’s his moral center that isn’t working. Perhaps some time in jail will fix it.

The palpable fear and panic in the liberal media wrought by the nomination of Sarah Palin is amusingly echoed by The Tribune's leftist liberal cartoonist, Pat Bagley.
The urgency to employ a shoot-Sarah-down-quick strategy reveals just how much Democrats realize the brilliance in John McCain's selection of Gov. Palin. Choosing her as his vice-presidential candidate changed the dynamic of the election. Saddled with Barack Obama and Joe Biden, and wringing their hands in buyer's remorse, the Democrats have become hysterical in their attacks on Palin. Their anxiety and dismay are fun to watch, and they are perfectly demonstrated in Bagley's attack cartoons.
